Nero 5.jpeg

Nero

Gentle Yoga

Through his yoga practice, which began as a means to improve his flexibility, Nero came to recognize the deeply inextricable relationship between mind and body.

Nero is a lifelong student, teacher, coach and activist. He teaches high school anatomy & physiology full time where he shares his appreciation of the human body as our most intimate instrument of creative expression. Nero received his personal training certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and is in the process of completing his 200-hour yoga certification with Siddhi Yoga.

On and off the mat, Nero is dedicated to bridging the gap between social equity and holistic health. His classes intend to encourage self reflection in the process of physical, emotional, and spiritual transformation.

Zuri

Mindful Mobility

Zurishaddai (Zuri) began studying yoga in 2013 as a means to manage her mental health. After noticing the many benefits of yoga, Zuri's family, friends and coworkers began to ask questions and seek lessons, encouraging her to study further.

She completed her 200HR certification in 2015 with FlorYoga and later earned her Prenatal Yoga certification with birth educator & doula, Kimberleigh Weiss-Lewitt.

In 2018, when a snowboarding fall left Zuri with a broken wrist, her physical therapy experience led her to dive deeper into joint health & movement education. Zuri is also a certified Mobility Specialist with Functional Range Systems™, led by Dr. Andreo Spina, as well as a certified Yoga Detour™ instructor. She enjoys leading mobility & asana classes where threads of mindfulness, joint mobility, and exploratory movement are all woven together.

Alexa

Soothing Vinyasa

Alexa is both a licensed psychotherapist and a Yoga and Meditation Teacher. Both allow her to provide a safe space for clients and students to break down their barriers and face their biggest fears to improve their overall quality of life. Being a psychotherapist, the nature of her teaching is therapeutic in nature. Alexa strives to combine her knowledge as a mental health professional with the Yogic philosophies and teachings to facilitate a healing, yet powerful and dynamic environment. Alexa's teaching is trauma-informed, and acts as a guide to bring the physical body back to safety, as well as the mind and body into alignment. She is excited to share the philosophy of Yoga in ways that allow the fire within you to not only brew, but burn bright to light up your life.
